Digest of Biblical Civil Law

In the light of Exo. 21:18-19, the infliction of injury as a means of entertaining a crowd, as in gladiatorial combats or modern prizefighting, must be seen as perverted. God does not give men strength so that they can use it to beat each other up, defacing the very image of God.
