Digest of Biblical Civil Law

In I Sam. 8:15-17, Samuel listed the evils Israel would suffer in seeking a king to rule over them. On the list was the king’s intention to take, through taxation, as much as God Himself took (10%). America today is a worse tyrant, extracting more than 10% of its citizens’ income. I Sam. 8:15,17 is the litmus test for living under tyranny.
