Arguing from the lesser to the greater, cruelty against animals was forbidden in the Bible (Gen. 49:5-7; Prov. 12:10); how much more so the cruelty of torture against humans (Gen. 49:5-7; Exo. 6:9; Ps. 71:4; 74:20)?
